Chaldean Words of Wisdom
In Chaldean catechism class the children were learning the Apostles Creed. Each child had been assigned a sentence to repeat. The first one said, "I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth." The second child said, "I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son."When he had completed his sentence, there was an embarrassing silence. Finally, one child piped up, "Teacher, the boy who believes in the Holy Spirit isn't here."

Top Quality Goods and Services Are the Hallmark of Chaldean Businesses
By Paul Gori :: Tuesday, October 21, 2008 :: 19748 Views :: Business & Finance

Michigan, USA – Chaldean entrepreneurs have always fought to compete against the cold giant retailers.  “We do this on a personal level.  We reach out to our customers and make sure they are happy.  We support the community and give back,” says Eddie Katoola, manager of Grail of Gorcers in Highland Park.  Grail of Grocers fresh produce and meats remind customers of the days long gone, when butchers knew your name and shared community recipes.

The success of Chaldean business owners is there ability to offer customers wonderful products and services and great prices.  It’s the reason why so many Chaldean businesses have been able to outperform major competitors.  The long standing tradition of offering valued goods is remarkable.

Across town, Johnny Karmo, owner and manager of Market Fresh is offering his customers a most unique product.  Karmo wants his customers to have the most unique pumpkins on their block.

The produce market and specialty food store on Southfield Road in Beverly Hills, annually hires a caricature artist to draw the customer’s likeness on a pumpkin, free of charge.  The high-end quality supermarket allows customers to choose a pumpkin from the large display outside the store, then have a caricature artist "personalize" the pumpkin by drawing your image on it with a permanent marker.

In addition to the caricatures of Market Fresh customers, the artists are also immortalizing some of the Detroit Red Wings and local celebrities. These pumpkins will be on display in the store, and then given to the children's ward of Beaumont Hospital for their Halloween celebration.
"Some of the Detroit Red Wings players donated autographed pucks to go with their pumpkin caricatures, so the kids at Beaumont will have a lasting treasure to take home after Halloween," said owner Johnny Karmo. "We did something similar a few years ago, and the kids really got a kick out of it," he added.

Karmo will also fire up the outdoor grills and provide free Market Fresh-made sausages to all customers from noon until 4 p.m., on October 25 and 26.

Customers show their support by remaining loyal patrons.  Some, like school teacher Nikki Wells travel as far as thirty miles to visit the grocery store.  This is what she had to say about Market Fresh:

“When ever I want the best of the best shopping experience I head over to Market Fresh. The worse thing about this store is that the bakery section is filled with deliciously sinful choices. Mm!Mm!Mm! If you are looking for a one of a kind dessert, please, look no further than this store. Absolutely magnificent. This store has a selection like no other.  The prices are slightly higher but the quality makes up for that. Everything about this grocery store is the highest of quality. From the welcoming employees to the brown paper bags. You couldn't ask for a better gourmet shopping experience."
